Join our Physician Interrupted subscriber chat
It's a relatively private space amongst just us to converse and connect
Today I’m announcing a brand new addition to my Substack publication: the Physician Interrupted (‘PI’) subscriber chat.
This is a conversation space in the Substack app that I’ve set up exclusively for PI subscribers — kind of like a group chat or live hangout. And it’ll be divided into topic threads so you don’t have to read through a load of random comments on a topic you’re not interested in. I’ll periodically post new topical threads, queries, concerns, and timely updates that come my way, and you can jump into the discussion. I’m confident our dialog will prompt a more studied article here where we can drill down further.
It’s private in the sense that it’s a chat between me and all PI subscribers and not the entire internet. It’s NOT like other social media which resemble drive-by verbal blasts by anybody about anything. Right now, it’ll be topic threads begun by me.
But it’s not “private” in the Hippocratic Oath sense. So don’t let it all hang out, if you know what I mean.
To join our chat, you’ll need to download the Substack app (messages are sent via the app, not email). Turn on push notifications so you don’t miss a chance to join the conversation as it happens.
Of course, given the discernment of our community, the customary guidelines for respectful discourse will prevail.
How to get started
Download the amazing Substack app by clicking this link or the button below. Chat is only on iOS (i.e. iPhone universe) for now, but it’s coming to the Android app soon. The app makes it incredibly easy to follow PI and all other newsletters you follow, without having to go onto a website.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside. Of course, if you’re newly opening the slim (very minimalist) app, explore around. You’ll see how easy it is to click the newsletters you want to read at your leisure.
That’s it! Jump into my thread, even just to say hi, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.
I’ve already started my first chat thread so come on over and say hello and what your interests in Physician Interrupted are!
